Description: Scope of Position (i.e. projects involved with and role within group): The Strategy Project Manager is responsible collecting market data and thoroughly analyzing the photovoltaics industry
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Map the photovoltaics supply chain and keep track of key industry players
Identify reliable sources of data. Searching industry reports, company’s financial reports and announcements.
Analyze the date gathered and define strategic issues and its implications to Corning’s Photovoltaic Flat Glass Technologies program
Develop long-term strategic options in support of the program
Select response and define action steps
Utilizing advanced analytic tools, process rigor and appropriate cross functional participation to confirm quality, depth and consistency of strategic decisions
Working closely with commercial, commercial technology and technology cross functional teams
Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: Mon-Fri 40 hours

Requirements:
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economy or business with excellent performance
MBA from top MBA school majoring in strategy, marketing or operations
Required Years and Area of Experience:
5+ years experience in strategy, marketing, operations or business development
Industry experience in Business to Business technology markets
Required Skills:
Demonstrated ability to develop clear business communications in growing global business
Strong analytical skills and affinity for process rigor
Strong presentation and communication skills (written and oral)
Ability to multi-task, take initiative and handle urgent requests on short notice.
Strong organization skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
Strong computer skills in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
Strong teamwork skills
Knowledge of photovoltaic/solar or other renewable energy market is not a requirement but a plus.
