Description: This position will take an active role in all aspects of Strategic Planning and Analysis. He/she will work closely with other department members and division personnel on data collection, business analysis, framing hypotheses, developing tactical and strategic insight, developing and delivering recommendations to division management, and often implementing recommendations. While problem assignments are wide-ranging, they typically involve financial and quantitative analysis of a competitive, end-user, or business development nature. As analysts gain industry expertise, analytical skills, and confidence they will be asked to manage even larger problems and opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Improve the quality, breadth, and clock speed of strategic decisions by incorporating advanced analytic tools, process rigor and appropriate cross functional participation
Quantitative and Financial Analysis
Market and Competitive Intelligence
Establish credibility as an internal thought leader on strategic and business level problems
Identify and define strategic issues
Establish plans for generating required data and analysis
Consider and evaluate strategic response alternatives
Select response and define action steps
Support the annual strategic planning process
Prepare critical data and presentation materials for key division communications
Periodic internal and external updates and reviews of division strategy and operations
General strategy presentations
Close collaboration with senior division managers
A Strategic Analyst is expected to participate actively by expressing their views, challenging findings, responding to senior management concerns and issues, and presenting recommendations.

Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, other hard science or business
MBA degree
Focus - Strategy, marketing, quantitative analysis, or operations
Experience and Skills:
3~5 year experience in strategy, marketing, operations or business development
Telecommunications industry experience preferred but not required
Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing strategic recommendations
Strong analytical skills (including especially financial analysis) and affinity for process rigor
Outstanding oral and written presentation and communication skills
Strong teamwork skills
Ability to create alignment and action plans to support strategies
